This Privacy Policy explains how Forgettable Pte. Ltd. (“Forgettable,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal data when you access or use the Forgettable mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. Scope and Application
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Services, including individual users and Financial Advisors who use advisor-specific features.
Forgettable is based in Singapore, but the Services are made available globally. Personal data is processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”), and, where applicable, other international data protection frameworks.
2. Personal Data We Collect
We may collect the following categories of personal data:
a. Account Information
Such as name, email address, login credentials, and account preferences.
b. Policy Information
Insurance policy documents and related information uploaded by you or by a Financial Advisor on your behalf, including coverage details, policy numbers, and insurer information.
c. Usage and Technical Data
Information about how you use the Services, including device information, IP address, browser type, operating system, and interaction logs.
d. Communications
Messages, support requests, and other communications you send to Forgettable.
3. Data Provided by Financial Advisors
Where a Financial Advisor uploads policy documents or links you to their account:

• The Financial Advisor may access only policy documents and AI-generated summaries for individuals actively linked to their account.

• Financial Advisors do not have access to private interactions between individuals and the Forgettable AI.

• Individuals retain ownership and control of their personal data at all times.

If an Advisor–individual connection is removed, the Financial Advisor’s access to that individual’s data is immediately revoked. Financial Advisors may upload policy documents or access personal data only where the individual has provided consent or has accepted an invitation to link their account.
4. How We Use Personal Data
We use personal data to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Services

• Process and summarise insurance policies using AI

• Enable linking and unlinking between Financial Advisors and individuals

• Provide customer support and respond to inquiries

• Improve and develop the Services

• Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent misuse

• Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

5. AI Processing of Policy Documents
Policy documents uploaded to the Services are processed using artificial intelligence to extract and summarise information.
AI processing is performed solely to provide the Services. Uploaded policy documents and extracted information are not used to train public or open AI models.
Users and Financial Advisors are responsible for ensuring that any policy documents uploaded to the Services are accurate, complete, and correspond to the correct insurance policy, insurer, coverage type, and policy period.
Forgettable does not verify the accuracy or completeness of uploaded documents, and any AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate if incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or misidentified documents are provided.
AI-generated summaries may be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be relied upon as a substitute for reviewing original policy documents or verifying coverage details.
6. Legal Bases for Processing
Where required by applicable law, Forgettable processes personal data based on one or more of the following legal bases:

• Your consent

• Performance of a contract

• Compliance with legal obligations

• Legitimate interests, such as improving the Services and ensuring security

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal data.
We may disclose personal data to:

• Service providers and vendors who process data on our behalf

• Professional advisors (e.g. legal, accounting)

• Authorities where required by law or regulation

• Other parties with your explicit consent

All third parties are required to protect personal data and use it only for authorised purposes.
8. International Data Transfers
Personal data may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions outside your country of residence.
Where such transfers occur, Forgettable takes reasonable steps to ensure that personal data is protected in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to legal and regulatory retention requirements.

Forgettable implements reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and at rest.
Despite these measures, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

• Access your personal data

• Request correction of inaccurate data

• Request deletion of your data

• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Requests can be submitted through the Forgettable app or by contacting us directly.
12. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
